Seton Legacy Garden

The Seton Legacy Garden, located just beyond the Stone House, honors 200 years of history, charity, and dedication begun by Mother Seton in 1809.

The garden offers you a place of prayer and devotion, with pathways where inspirational quotes of Sacred Scripture, St. Elizabeth Ann, and other saints are inscribed on bricks, pavers, and benches. The focal point is a statue of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in her role as teacher.

Enjoy the walkways and reflection areas during your prayerful stroll (there are many opportunities for prayer and devotion). Enjoy reading the inscriptions of those who have commemorated a significant milestone, celebrated a special occasion, or honored a loved one, living or deceased. Become a Permanent Part of the Seton Legacy Garden.

Seton Legacy Garden Prayers and Devotion

During the Spring, Summer and Fall, the Seton Legacy Garden offers a meaningful opportunity for prayer and devotion.

We suggest praying the rosary as you walk throughout the garden. The garden has five reflection areas, one for each decade of the rosary.
