Visitor Center

A pilgrimage to Seton Heritage Ministries and the National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton begins at the Visitor Center located below the Basilica (next to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton statue).
Friendly and helpful Seton Way Guides are available at 10:30, 11:30, 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 Tuesday through Sunday, to lead you through all the sacred and historical sites, including the location of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton's final resting place in the Basilica. You will end this interesting and informative one-hour walking tour in the Seton Heritage Museum.
The Seton Heritage Museum and Theater provides further context for learning about the incredible life of Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton and continuing legacy of charity. Exhibits, artifacts, and 20-minute orientation movie (shown at the beginning of each scheduled tour) illustrate Elizabeth's life, her many accomplishments, and the canonization process.
The Seton Heritage Shoppe located near the Visitor Center entrance offers exclusive religious gifts, books, and Shrine souvenirs which are not found in any other gift shop!
Please plan to spend two hours visiting in order to appreciate the complete experience!
Reservations are not required, except for groups of 15 people or more. We welcome group tours. Please contact us as soon as possible so that we may accommodate your needs. We are handicap accessible.
